Last June 5, Freelancing.ph was privileged to have Canva’s Country Manager for a sponsored webinar about design hacks for Freelancers. Kei San Pablo also started her career as a freelancer way back 2009 in the hopes of saving enough money for med school. She started working as a digital marketer and was able to put up her team of Virtual Assistants. In 2014, she met Cliff (the Founder and COO of Canva) via Twitter and the rest is history.
The most common question we get is how can one really land a job as a freelancer. So last June 27, we decided to run a no nonsense webinar to walk you through Upwork’s (formerly oDesk) application process. We were graced by one of the most successful freelancer-turned-entrepreneur, Roel Manarang, to share how he made it in the freelancing world. Roel is the author of Freelance1k. He is an entrepreneur and a growth hacker who has helped more than 100 businesses around the world. He started freelancing at the age of 12 and has been earning five to six figures since then.
After running a poll on Facebook, I was surprised to find out that most freelancers from the community wanted to learn about savings and investment opportunities. So last June 24, we were honored to have Mr. Fitz Villafuerte, Founder of 199jobs.com and Readytoberich.com to talk about Financial Freedom. Fitz is a Filipino entrepreneur, an investor and a Registered Financial Planner. In 2007, he established his financial blog hoping to inspire people to start their own journey towards financial freedom.
